Here are a series of image that I made recently whilst on a family holiday in St. Davids, Pembrokshire. Had a cottage just around the corner from the Cathedral and so it was an opprotunity to study the possible compositions ans catch the light at the best time. The best time was not at sunrise or sunset as during these phases the cathedral is in shadow during August. So it presented an interesting challenge to capture images in strong contrasting light.
It’s been a long time since I posted my last image. I have been very much occupied in helping to set up the new Avon Valley Photography Society and its first International Salon, along with trying to complete my RPS A- Panel.
Hopefully there will be now more time for me to keep this blog up-to date. Just got back from my holidays and the image above is an example of trying out the new Lightroom CC Photo Merge HDR facility. A merge of 3 exposures -2, 0, +2 stops.
I find the auto tone mapping used preferable to other HDR software.
