It’s been a long time since I posted my last image. I have been very much occupied in helping to set up the new Avon Valley Photography Society and its first International Salon, along with trying to complete my RPS A- Panel.
Hopefully there will be now more time for me to keep this blog up-to date. Just got back from my holidays and the image above is an example of trying out the new Lightroom CC Photo Merge HDR facility. A merge of 3 exposures -2, 0, +2 stops.
I find the auto tone mapping used preferable to other HDR software.
Just got back from a holiday on the Dingle Peninsula, Ireland. This is the first imaged I have processed. Slea Head and The Great Blasket Islands in the background is the most westerly point in Europe. The jagged rocks in the area have seen many a ship wreck over the years.
I made this image in B&W to portray the dramatic atmosphere you get being at this place. It was late afternoon. A 20 sec exposure at f/8 with a 70mm lens, 0.9 ND Hard Graduated and “Big Stopper” filter.
